This slide feels like a commercial in the middle of our story, but this is supposed to be a timeline. The Talking Books program, which we still facilitate today, is a free-by-mail audio book program for those whose eyesight does not allow them to read standard print.
It provides an audio player and a library of books and magazines that you can request to be delivered to your mailbox. You then return your borrowed items the same way, all free of charge. If you, or anyone you know, would qualify for this program, you can let the library director know and we’ll get you an application.
