The property next door to the library had been for sale for a long time. The listing was for the former Gallery of Mountain Secrets store and the storage building behind it. There had been no takers so the Holmans, who owned it at the time, split the property and offered the storage building and the store separately. After that had been on the market for a good while, the library board decided to make an offer on the storage building property.
The reasoning was that it would give us contiguous property for possible future expansion. Once the sale was complete, there were no immediate plans to build, so the library board chose to use the building for book sale storage in the interim. Eventually the whole book sale moved into the building, now known as the _________? (We can't make up our minds: the green building, the formerly green building, the white building, the book sale building, no one can decide).
