Since we were moving into the area of digital downloads for books, we wanted to provide the same opportunity for those who didn’t own their own device. We introduced Kindles and Nooks, preloaded with a variety of titles that patrons could read. Due to the cost, we soon abandoned Nooks but continued to offer Kindles. There are now nearly 1000 titles available on the Kindles we check out. Several years ago, we added iPads to our collection for checkout. Our vast Kindle collection can be accessed through the Kindle app on the iPads.
