"I came to this library as a bookworm. I had frequented libraries everywhere I had lived including Harrisonburg, Williamsburg, and Staunton. I had worked at the Swem Library while I was at the College of William & Mary. Like Pat, I was a self-taught computer geek.
I didn’t get my own computer until mid-1998, so I had a lot of catching up to do. I came to this job ready to promote books, help connect people with the information they needed, and to increase usage of the library across all age groups.
